Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in
Katy, Texas on April 25 in 1969. Her mother, Kjellfrid (Andreassen), is an
ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and also has Swedish and
Norwegian descent. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is a Swiss-born engineer.
The couple got became married in 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's brother and
was born on 15 February 1967. While in the drama club, Renee became interested
in acting. She enrolled in an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) and began
thinking about acting as a career. She wanted to be an actor after graduation,
but Hollywood is not easy to make it into. Renee decided not to leave Texas and
auditioned in Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew McConaughey was another
Hollywood newcomer who she met filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next
Generation (1994). Renee observed him on a project which was of interest to
her. She auditioned , and got the part in Love and A.45 (1994). The role earned
her enough critical praise and a decision to move to Los Angeles. Her biggest
break came when she was cast in another part in The Whole Wide World (1996).
Cameron Crowe was busy casting his next film, Jerry Maguire (1996),starring Tom
Cruise. Crowe was considering the actresses Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona
Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei when he saw Zellweger's performance in
The Whole Wide World (1996). He attended an audition with Zellweger and was
sure he'd discovered his Dorothy Boyd. Renee continued to be a huge success in
small independent films. Her films received even more praise from critics and
was confident enough that she was ready to make a return to big-budget
Hollywood films. She was a co-star with Meryl Streep in the tear-jerker One
True Thing (1998). She also starred alongside Jim Carrey in Me, Myself
& Irene (2000) and began to date Carrey soon afterward. Bridget Jones's
Diary (2001).
