conceived in Los Angeles on September 20, 1970. Her parents relocated to
Dallas, Texas shortly after her birth. She graduated from Booker T. Washington
High School for the Performing and Visual Arts located in the Arts District of
downtown Dallas. After graduation, she earned the BFA diploma from Stephens
College in acting and was also a student at British American Drama Academy.
Additionally, she spent six years with the renowned Dallas Theatre Center and
one year at the theater's Encore Company. Prior to her big screen debut, she
started her acting career in theaters. Her credits on stage include "As
You Like It", “A Funny thing happened on the Road to the Forum"
"Measure for Measure", and "Chicago", as well as other
productions. Her most memorable performance came in Michael Cristofer's HBO
telefilm Gia (1998), opposite Angelina Jolie. She made her famous to critics and
viewers. Her charismatic acting skills were evident in the sci-fi action film
Frequency (2000) which featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute. With numerous
credits from television series, theaters and movies, Elizabeth Mitchell
continues to give her best in the field of acting. In the course of the filming
