Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born to actresses Melissa D. Canaday, and Edward James Hyland in New York City. She entered the industry when she was just 4 years old by doing commercial work and voice-overs. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her next film. Sarah was a part of on Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in the park and fostered by Josie. Sarah was to work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie") for a few more episodes: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast as one of the young "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) the same year she was also cast in the role of "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) with Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Gould's Secret (2000) and Falcone (2000). Sarah took classes in jazz hip hop, tap, Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed with her class in tap and Theatre at "Reel to Real" in Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. Her homeschooling was provided by her mom until 2nd grade. She then attended Public School. In 6th grade she was admitted to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) which she attended until 2008 when she graduated. Sarah was just 18 when she moved to Los Angeles. She landed an aircraft named "My American Family" within two weeks. After her acceptance by the airline, the pilot's name changed into Modern Family (2009). Sarah is currently "Haley Dunphy", an the oldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) won numerous awards, most notably the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
