Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is an actress, model and director from England. Wright is most well-known for her part in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She remained in the role for ten years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). After the series, Wright appeared in a number of independent films, including Before I Sleep (2013), The Sea (2013), as well as After the Dark (2014) The films were met with mixed reviews. In 2013 she made her performance debut on stage in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse. She also received a bachelor’s degree in filmmaking at the University of the Arts London. She subsequently founded her own production company, BonBonLumiere, and began producing short films. Her first film was directed by her that was a coming-of-age-drama Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at the Cannes Film Festival to great critical acclaim. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), which featured Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both were based on emotion and landscape. Wright's trilogy, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has also produced music videos for artists Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn as well as Scarlett Johansson. Wright is well-known for her environmental activism. she also acts as an ambassador for the charities Greenpeace as well as Lumos.
