Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora, a British music producer and singer. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. When she was just one, her family took the decision to relocate to England. She grew up in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and later St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing when she was a teenager. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. The film featured her audition for Eurovision The Country That needs You as a British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she decided to withdraw from the contest after only a few episodes due to the fact that she didn't feel like she was ready. In 2007, Ora had her first music album when she performed on the track of Craig David titled "Awkward" and then again in 2008 on "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she also appears in the music video. Ora started singing in bars around London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z An A&R representative inform Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was attracted to Ora's talent and kindly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was part of a commercial for Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a bar and she started her career as a singer from the same bar. Gwen Stefani is a major influence on her demeanor. She also refers to her father, Besnik who was a pub's owner. Kate Moss, Ed Sheeran and their pals.
