Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress from the United States. She is known best for playing attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), for which she is two times winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared in NBC's Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her early years. Following the footsteps of her grandmother and father and mother, she was a student of drawing, painting and architecture at a young age. In her pursuit of the art of the visual, she found a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theatre in the course of her college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a BA in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was studying in college and was looking to enter theatre after being inspired by her acting instructor. She attempted to be noticed by working various other jobs within D.C. theater. She ended up getting some major roles in local theater productions but had for odd jobs in order to earn a living; she took roles in various short instructional industrial films. She soon started getting parts in more television productions, mostly in roles she regarded as "very wry, sarcastic, intelligent women" like her idol Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after only one to two seasons. In the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest of Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
