Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi Ukraine on the 14th of August, 1982. Kunis was seven years old when she old, emigrated to America along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. Later, she settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family was not able to make it in America with the sum of $250. Kunis and her parents, both of whom quit their jobs to relocate to a better location for their children and were determined to create a better life for their children. Mark, a former mechanical engineer found work quickly as a driver for taxis. Elvira, who was a teacher of Physics in Ukraine ended up managing the pharmacy. Kunis stated that she did not understand American culture when first arriving in the United States. I didn't get the culture. I did not understand the language. Her mother works as a physics teacher but runs a pharmacy as well, while her father is an engineer in mechanical engineering by profession. He also doubles up by working as a cab driver. Her family is Jewish and her family relocated to Los Angeles at the age of seven. Rosewood Elementary was her school. When she was just nine years old, she began acting classes. After auditioning for several commercials, she became an actor in her first television appearance on Days of Our Lives’ in 1994. In 1998, she landed her first big role as 'Jackie Burkhart' in the hit sitcom "That '70s" show'.After rave reviews about her performance in the role of 'Jackie', she was cast in the role of 'Meg Griffin' in the animated sitcom 'Family Guy'.
